Prices & Deposits

Your dog can stay for one night, several nights, or even a month or more if needed. I love all breeds, sizes and personalities. I do need to be able to handle your dog for safety reasons, so please be sure to let me know if your dog may be difficult to handle or may need special care.

 

I am certified in Dog & Cat First Aid & am able to treat minor injuries. Please advise me of any recent illnesses or injuries when you drop off so I can be sure to monitor them. If your dog has medical issues that require advanced care or is nearing the end of life, I may recommend that they stay with a veterinarian where medical treatment is available during their stay.

Overnight Stay-  $55 per night (plus tax)

If you drop off in the morning and pick up the next morning, the charge is for one night. If you drop off in the morning and pick up the next afternoon, you will be charged for 2 nights.

 

Additional Charges

$5 charge per day per dog plus tax to administer medicine up to 3 meds per day. Additional charges for more than 3 meds and/or additives to meals.

$5 per cup of food if your dog runs out. Food is not provided. Please be sure to bring enough & a little extra.

If your dog needs an extensive ear or eye cleaning, wound care, first aid treatment, urgent bath, urgent nail trim, or other service not included during their stay, there will be additional charges added to your balance due at pick up.

Guests are taken for short walks 2-4 times per day and/or play time in the large 90 foot by 40 foot enclosed play area. Outside walks and play are dependent on weather. Clients also spend time in their private, secure, covered outdoor runs when appropriate, to allow safe outdoor time between walks/play time in comfortable weather. We do not walk or play outside in extreme/unsafe temperatures or weather conditions. 

 

Included in your dog's stay: 

  • An elevated or soft bed will be provided. No need to ruin yours.

  • The use of water & food bowls. No need to bring them.  

  • Refrigeration/freezing of food/snacks.

  • Photos are typically posted to Facebook every few days during your dog's stay so you can see them while you are away. 

  • You may check in by email/FB message every few days to see how your dog is doing if you would rather not have photos posted on FB and will receive a response within 4 hours  (usually sooner). 

  • My personal cell phone number will be provided but should be used only for texting between 9am-5pm and ONLY for urgent matters and last-minute schedule changes. Texts for non-urgent matters will not be replied to and should instead be sent by email or Facebook as stated above.

Care for the day- $55 (plus tax)

Need care for your dog for the day with no overnight stay? As long as I have room, you can make an appointment to drop off during morning hours and pick up the same day during afternoon hours. Just like overnight guests, your dog's day will consist of walk time and personal attention. Dogs at TLC DO NOT have physical contact with each other but can play safely while in neighboring rooms with very little risk of injury.

Everyone who stays at TLC receives lots of personal attention to include walking, cuddling, playing, sitting in the grass....whatever your dog wants to do during that time. 

Deposits

A  deposit of approximately 30% of your estimated total will secure your reservation. If I've given you a deposit amount (some deposits are waived), & you haven't paid the deposit or reached back out to me within 48 hours, I will assume you do not wish to book the reservation. If you decide not to book within 48 hours, you may check back at any time to see if I still have a room available.

Deposits are not refundable but if you have paid a 30% deposit & cancel at least 5 days before your scheduled stay, you may roll some or all of your deposit over into your next stay as long as your next stay takes place within 120 days of your cancelation date.  Otherwise, you forfeit the deposit. Other conditions may apply.

Not all dates require that you book months in advance. Often times, you are able to book dates a week or two in advance. You may check with me at any time to see how much room I have left for your dates if you’d like to wait a little longer to book or are not sure if you'll need the space. I often post scheduling updates on TLC's Facebook page.

You will be provided with a total amount due at drop off, but payment is not due until you pick up. Please be prepared to pay your balance at pick up. Your dog cannot be released to you (or your designated pick-up person) until payment has been made. 

 

You may pay by cash, check, card, Venmo or PayPal. There is a 4% fee for card transactions. $50 fee for returned checks.

TLC Pet Lodge, LLC- Located at 318 Garnsey Rd, Delanson, NY

TLC Pet Lodge is a dog boarding facility located in a beautiful country setting at 318 Garnsey Rd in Delanson, New York. TLC  sits on several acres, allowing for walks through the grass, the woods, and around a huge pond. The Lodge has 20 rooms and each room has an indoor and outdoor section. Dogs at TLC do not have physical contact with each other. All dogs are cared for with love & respect; and their safety & happiness are my top priorities.

Tours of TLC are not offered at this time because there is just not enough time in the day. :) Telephone calls are very difficult but I am happy to answer questions via email at TLCLodge@gmail.com within 24 hours. Living on the property allows me to check on your best friend at any time day or night 7 days per week and gives you the peace of mind knowing I'm only steps away. Whether here for a day, a week, a month or more, you can be sure your dog is being cared for with walks, play time, & lots of personal attention. I love dogs & enjoy spending time caring for them & discovering their unique personalities.

 

I make all of my guests as relaxed & comfortable as possible. Beds are provided for all guests unless their chewing habits make it unsafe to have beds in their rooms. Guests are provided with drinking water at all times while in their rooms unless you request otherwise. Water bowls & food dishes are provided as are slow-feeders if needed.

There are NO additional charges for making your dog comfortable- that's part of my job & one of my main goals. If your dog needs an extra walk or two to feel comfortable, we'll walk. If we need a little more time to get to know each other before he/she is okay with me handling him/her, then we spend a little extra time together. It usually only takes a short stay or two before most dogs are excited to come back to see me. Sometimes, it's a combination of nervous & excited. My hope is that their excitement to stay at TLC & to see me, will help give you a little more freedom to travel without feeling anxious or guilty.
